8 years ago I installed my first standalone GitLab server for my development team. Since then I've actively used the product. In July 2021, while reading the docs I saw a possible improvement, instead of ignore it I decided to post an MR. Since then I started actively contributing to the GitLab documentation and handbook. I also started contributing on the code and implemented some improvements into the codebase and UI. Then I contributed to the Spanish translation and now I'm a Spanish proofreader. I participated in a few hackathons where I won one of the first places. All because I love the product, the philosophy of the company, its values and the community that has been built around it. I hope I can keep doing it even more.

improvements into the codebase.
I started contributing to GitLab in March of 2022, couldn't stop from there and August of the same year I joined the GitLab Heroes.
The reason I joined was to improve the time tracking features offered by GitLab, but I ended up contributing
to various other areas of the product.

Source Code Management, CICD, Container Registry, Package Registry, Pages, IaC, Kubernetes Management. I'm delighted to have joined the GitLab Heroes community.

I have been using GitLab for 3 years and I started my GitLab journey from a GitLab challenge on twitter. I won some goodies and meanwhile came to know how to use GitLab. Currently I am organizing GitLab Meetup Bangladesh and organizing various events.
Stumbled upon a post on Twitter about GitLab Hackathons back in November 2022, participated by making some documentation
fixes and became a regular contributor and joined Gitlab Heroes in the subsequent year.
I wrote a few articles on GitLab, especially on GitLab CI! I use and recommend GitLab every day, because for me, it is the best tool so far for creating applications or deploying infrastructure!
I am an enthusiastic contributor to Open Source software and discovered GitLab development through a Hackathon.
By contributing to GitLab, I am not only refining my workflows but also gaining a unique opportunity to enhance my coding skills.
I hope that my contributions are helpful to many others as well.
